Walk Begins in Decorah

Decorah Regional Arts Council (DRAC) is hosting their annual Art Walk
now through July 7. Organizers say the event has expanded this year,
with 53 artists displaying their work in the windows of 48 downtown
businesses.
There will also be a group of student artists featured in the windows
at the former Oneota Coop location.
This year a new component of Art Walk will be "Solstice Specials" in
participating downtown restaurants.
Some of the restaurants will offer a special dish or discount on a menu
item through July 7. Participating restaurants will have signs in their
windows and have details available.
A map of events and artists' locations is available at participating
businesses and sponsor locations. This year's Art Walk sponsors are:
Agora Arts, Decorah Bank and Trust, Decorah Newspapers, Mary Jorgensen
Personal and Organizational Coaching, and Viking Bank.
The Decorah Regional Arts Council is a 501(c)3 Charitable Non Profit
Corporation that encourages and promotes art, artists, education, and
gives creative energy to Decorah and the surrounding region.
