Tractor
Rolled Down Embankment, Killing Driver

An area man was killed Monday afternoon, June 23, when the tractor he
was driving rolled down a steep embankment according to local officials.
Scott Stendel, 46, was killed when the tractor rolled at the Stendel
residence, about six miles southeast of Decorah, according to the
Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office. Emergency personnel responded to
the incident at 4:14 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Several local residents assisted at the scene, along with members of
the Winneshiek County Ambulance and the Decorah Fire Department.
