Now for Summer Flower Tour
Posted 26 June 2008
Your garden doesn’t need to “slow down” as summer approaches. The
gardens at the Lee and Ruth White farm are vibrant from spring until
fall.
The two keys are finding the right plant for the right spot and growing
a wide variety of plants that bloom at different times of the year.
While their gardens may be a bit more expansive than most gardeners
would like to maintain, you’re sure to come away with a few ideas that
will transfer to your garden.
Bob Hauer, ISU Extension Horticulturist, will join the Whites in
answering any questions you may have. This garden tour will be at 6:30
p.m. on Monday, June 30, at the Lee and Ruth White farm, 462 Forest
Mills Rd. near Postville.
The cost for the tour will be $3 to ISU Extension. Bob will also have
several free handouts and publications available from Extension.
Registration is requested, so please call the Allamakee County
Extension office at 568-6345 to register.
