Diabetes Fair March 18 at Veterans Memorial Hospital

Veterans Memorial Hospital is hosting a Diabetes Awareness Day Fair on Thursday, March 18, in the Large Conference Room, located on the lower level of the hospital. Anyone interested in learning more about diabetes and all of the resources available to them may visit the Diabetes Fair anytime between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. that day.

The Diabetes Fair will offer many educational opportunities including nutrition information given by the Veterans Memorial Hospital dietitians; computer website access and instructions by the VMH Information Technology department, exercise demonstrations and information by the VMH Rehabilitation Department, and even various meter companies will be on site to explain their products and samples. Door prizes will also be given away.

This Diabetes Fair is open to everyone who has diabetes or has a friend or loved one with diabetes. For more information on the Diabetes Awareness Day Fair at Veterans Memorial Hospital, please call Teresa Myers, RN, Diabetes Educator, or Anne Blocker, RD/LD, C.D.E. at 568-3411.
