Volunteer
There are a number of volunteer opportunities in the area, from Allamakee Mentoring Program to the VMH.  There are also a number of folks that would like to do some volunteering.  We offer this page as a place to match them up!

Allamakee Mentoring Program
Goal:  To connect youth ages 5-16 with a caring adult role model.

Youth Involvement:  must be 5-16 and live in Allamakee County

Adult Involement: 17 years of age or older

Time Expectation:  Meet with youth 4-5 hours per month

Application process for both youth and adults.

Road to Recovery Program Needs Volunteers

Veterans Memorial Hospital, along with the American Cancer Society, is pleased to announce the start of a Road to Recovery program for Allamakee County. Cancer patients may call Jeanette Danaher at 563/568-4262 and leave a message to set up a driver. For information on becoming a volunteer, please call Becky at Veterans Memorial Hospital at 563/568-3411.
Volunteers Needed For Barn Survey
The Allamakee County Extension Office is seeking volunteers to help with the Allamakee County
Barn Survey.
 
Local volunteers will visit farms and take exterior photos
of barns and complete a short assessment of features.  Camera and survey materials provided. 
 
Need one week's notice to notify barn owners.
